He trained as a dentist in the University of Seville (1998-2003). As soon as he qualified he went to work in Manchester, UK, where he practiced as a general dentist for a year. When he returned to Seville, he worked hard for 3 years in the University on Seville to obtain his Masters in Oral Surgery and Dental Implants. In 2006 he obtained the Postgraduate Certificate of Evidence Based Health Care in Oxford University. For further training, he carried out the Postgraduate Training Course of Periodontics and Dental Implants in the Gingiva Clinic, Madrid, 2008. He obtained his PhD in Dentistry in 2011, University of Seville. From 2007 he only works within the fields of Oral Surgery, Periodontics and Dental Implants; he combines this with teaching in the Oral Surgery Masters of the University of Seville since 2008.
